Kindergarten

For Just £10.00 a month you can sponsor a child to go to school or donate to our project

Eudaimonia have developed a Kindergarten called The Dimmock International Academy, on our block at Lewa Downs. We have over 30 children now attending and many more have booked to enroll next term. We hope to develop this into a full primary school from next year. Since there is no other kindergarten and primary school nearby, we have received a lot of requests from parents who would like to enroll their children with us.

Initial success and plans for the future…

For those who can afford to pay, we charge a minimal GBP 30 per term. We have adapted a more liberal curriculum that encourages children to think critically and creatively, in an inspiring and safe environment.

We are also not religiously inclined and no child is denied chance to enroll because of their religious background. We have used this facility as a feeding center and we give the children a very balanced and nutritious meals enriched with Moringa and vegetables from our farm, including those they have planted themselves. We provide them with porridge twice a day and lunch / We currently have two teachers, two care providers and a watchman.

We hope that in future too, children we may take into our sponsorship could be able to join our kindergarten

Learning Materials

We are still in need of learning materials, toys and play equipment and will appreciate if anyone could help us with this.

Building for the Future

We have two classes fully built and we are now in the process of building two more classes, a kitchen, hall and computer room. Some of these buildings will serve as a Community Empowerment Center that will act a Diabetes Resource Center.

Transportation

To make transportation easier for children who come from very far distances, we are looking into buying a mini-bus.

Sponsor a child for only 35p per day

We ask for a minimum donation of £10 a month, which works out as £2.31 a week or 33 pence a day, although many of our sponsors choose to give more. It is our generally our policy to sponsor first those with the greatest need, and who have been waiting the longest. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
